NASA Ames Awards Aeronautics and Exploration Support Contract

NASA has granted the NASA Academic Mission Services 2 (NAMS-2) contract to Crown Consulting Inc., based in Arlington, Virginia. This contract will support the Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley with research and development in aeronautics and exploration technology.

NAMS-2 represents a hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee contract awarded as a single package, boasting an impressive ceiling value of $121 million. This contract is set to kick off on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, initiating with a 60-day phase-in period. It will then transition into a solid two-year base period, with the possibility of extending the contract duration up until November 2029.

This contract entrusts the company with a wide range of scientific research and the development of innovative capabilities and technologies in the realms of air traffic management, cutting-edge technology, nanoelectronics, and pioneering software. This initiative will bolster the efforts of NASA Ames’ Aeronautics and Exploration Technology Directorates. Additionally, the endeavor will enhance the safety of aircraft and airspace and facilitate the integration of advanced aeronautical technologies into next-generation air vehicles.
